Profile Visibility Policy

At DS2S – Digital Skills to Succeed, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information while fostering a transparent and collaborative learning environment. This Profile Visibility Policy outlines how your profile information is displayed and managed on the platform.

1. Profile Information Display

When you create a profile on the DS2S platform, certain information you provide may be visible to other registered users to enable interaction and collaboration. This may include:

  • Your name
  • Profile picture (if uploaded)
  • Any contributions (e.g., comments, discussion posts, shared resources)
  • Country
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Email Address
  • Profession
  • Institute

Your sensitive data will not be publicly displayed.

2. Who Can See Your Profile

  • Other Registered Users: Your basic profile and learning activity may be visible to other learners and mentors on the platform. This supports peer learning and engagement.
  • Platform Administrators: Have full access to your profile to ensure platform safety, provide support, and manage participation.
  • External Visitors: Profiles are not visible to the general public or unregistered users.

3. Profile Privacy Settings

You may be able to manage parts of your profile visibility through the account settings section. This may include:

  • Uploading or removing your profile photo
  • Editing your display name or biography

Please note: certain core details (like name) may be required to remain visible for platform functionality.

4. Responsibility of Users

While your profile is intended for professional and learning purposes, you are responsible for ensuring that:

  • Your profile does not contain false or misleading information
  • You do not post any offensive, discriminatory, or illegal content in your profile or shared activity

Violations may result in your content being removed or your profile being restricted or deleted, at the sole discretion of the platform administrators.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

If you choose to delete your account, your profile and related data will be permanently removed from the platform in accordance with our data retention policy. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained for reporting and platform improvement purposes.
