INNOVATION CHALLENGE

For teams and companies that want to go further than three days, Innovation Challenges offer a full semester of collaboration.
A full semester. A real company. A developed solution. A chance to take it to Germany. The SEPT Competence Center at Leipzig University andGIZ run the Innovation Challenge 2026. It is a structured, practice-oriented programme that connects master's students in India and Viet Nam with German SMEs looking for innovative thinking on real business problems.
Students receive online training in innovation management, then apply that knowledge to a live company challenge over several weeks. The best teams pitch their solutions to a jury, and the winners travel to Germany for a month-long Summer School to develop their solution further, working directly with the company.
